Party Terms
& Conditions

Seal's Cove

These terms and conditions explain what will happen when you have a party at Seal’s Cove and outline our booking, cancellation and deferral policies, our obligations to you and what is required as a party organiser.

Please read these terms carefully and contact us if you have any questions.

Party Bookings

  • Party slots are limited and are booked on a first come, first served basis.

  • All parties must be fully paid for at the time of booking through the booking section on our website.

  • We are unable to reserve party slots without payment.

  • Party bookings must be made at least 7 days in advance of the required party date. This allows us time to ensure we have the correct number of staff and can prepare everything required for your party.

    You will receive an order notification and receipt confirming your party booking.A form will also need to be completed at the time of booking.Digital party invitations can be found at the bottom of the confirmation email under “Additional Information”.

Party Numbers & Food Orders

Party bookings are based on a minimum number of guests.

  • Party bookings can be made for fewer than the minimum number, however the price will remain the same as the stated minimum.

  • Additional children can be added to your booking, subject to availability.

  • The final number of party guests must be confirmed at least 7 days before the party.

If fewer children attend on the day than originally confirmed, refunds cannot be issued for unused places. Party bookings are prepared in advance, including food ordering and staffing arrangements. For this reason we require a minimum of  7 days’ notice for cancellations or changes.

Party Food & Decorations

  • You cannot bring your own food to the party.

  • Only food purchased from Seal’s Cove may be consumed on site.

  • The only exception is a birthday cake, which may be brought in by the party organiser.

You are welcome to bring additional decorations, however:

  • Table confetti, piñatas and glitter is not permitted due to the quick turnaround between parties.

Additional Guests

These guests will not be provided with party food unless food is purchased separately from the café.

Any extra children or siblings who attend but are not included in the party booking must:

  • pay normal admission (subject to availability), or

  • book online in advance.
     

Party Session Times

Parties at Seal’s Cove take place during normal opening hours.

Guests are required to leave the activity centre at the end of their party session.

Seal’s Cove reserves the right to charge an additional admission fee if guests remain beyond the session time.

Dietary Requirements & Allergies

If you or any of your guests have special dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to assist.

All dietary needs and changes must be communicated as soon as possible and no later than 7 days before the party.

Supervision Requirements

Party organisers must ensure appropriate supervision throughout the event.

  • A minimum adult-to-child ratio of 1:5 is required for soft play parties.

  • Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising the children in their care.

Party parents/guardians must read our Rules of Play and Admission Policy and ensure all adults in the group are aware of and adhere to these rules while on the premises.

Climbing Parties

Where relevant, all the above party terms and conditions also apply to climbing parties.

Additional requirements for climbing parties include:

  • All climbers must be 5 years or over.

  • The maximum weight rating for the Trublue auto belays is 150kg / 330lb / 23st.

  • The minimum weight is 20kg.

  • Climbers under 18 must have a parental disclaimer form completed.

Refunds & Cancellations

Refunds for party participants who are unable to attend will only be given if we are notified 7 days before the party.

  • 7+ days before the party: refunds may be issued for participants unable to attend.

  • 0–6 days before the party: no refunds can be issued.

If you choose to cancel your party within 0–6 days of the event, no refund will be given.

Postponing Your Party

We understand that plans can change.

If you are unable to go ahead with your party, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where possible we will attempt to reschedule the party for another date, subject to availability.

If no suitable alternative date can be arranged, our cancellation policy will apply.

Seal’s Cove Cancellation

In the extremely unlikely event that Seal’s Cove needs to cancel your party, we will do our best to rearrange the event for another date that is suitable for both parties.

If an alternative date cannot be agreed, all monies paid will be refunded in full.

Responsibilities of the Party Organiser

As the party organiser you are responsible for:

  • Remaining within the facility throughout the party

  • Ensuring all guests are aware of the Rules of Play

  • Ensuring children only undertake activities they are capable of performing

  • Ensuring all children and adults wear socks in the soft play

  • Informing us of any dietary requirements or allergies

  • Communicating any booking amendments within the required timeframes

  • Ensuring children who are unwell do not attend the party

  • Encouraging hand washing before eating party food

Confirmation of your party booking is based upon your acceptance and adherence to these terms and conditions.
